Payment time-frame
After receiving notification that a member’s bid was the winning bid at auction, members have two business days (including the day of the sale) to pay for their vehicle. Payment must be received no later than 5 p.m. Eastern time (ET) on the second day.

If payment is not received by 5 p.m. ET on the second business day (after the sale), the member will be charged a penalty of $50 or 2% of the vehicle’s price tag, whichever is greater.

Note: For residents outside the U.S. who wish to purchase vehicles through SCA, we strongly recommend prepaying your bids before submitting them to avoid penalties.

Example: If a bid is won on Thursday, but the member is away from home and cannot transfer the money right away, the member will have two business days or until 5 p.m. ET on Friday to make the payment without incurring any penalties. SCA strongly recommends that members submit their payment as soon as possible.
